i have a 2000 mk1 2.3 ghia heater blowers, centtral locking not working trip clocks reseting and no red led on door when locked have checked all wiring all ok have tried 4 differnent cpu's still would not work all fuse's ok did have water in both foot well's but dried out now still no joy the cpu is at the drivers knee not under seat so did not get wet anyone were to go next ? any help thanks

Same symptoms and in my case it was a fuse. Had the same problem and the wet footwell previously. Can't remember which fuse it was except that my little manual thought the fuse was for engine management (except it wasn't). I have a diesel mind you. A thorough search through the fuse box in daylight was necessary as first time round in the dark and artificial light I missed it and had started to take out loads of unecessary bits and bobs.

is there fuse's anywhere else in the car fuse box go's 1 to 34 and 51 to 62 and there's two under the drivers seat but dont no what numbers they are ? where is 35 to 50 ? Edited by hicksy68

ya checked that joint aswell its ok lol doing my head in lol got power going to and out of all fuses and power going in and coming out of cpu just not geting to locks or blowers ??? last thing i think is get under the dash and start traking the wiring all the way from unit and putting a pulse down to see how i go unless anyone else has any more ideas....

have you got to all 3 layers of fuses?

you also have a fuse box under the bonnet but probably not at fault?

It's under the battery cover, to the left of the wash bottle fill tube. It has the five heavy duty wires coming out of the side and the fat red wire from the battery goes straight to it.
